NOTES
In 1993, The Majolly Project had a dream. The first song ‘Whitebone’ took shape, although in a different context. 2017 is a dream realized - the debut album from The Majolly Project. As of today, three singles have already been acclaimed. The 2015 Gold Medal Winner for 'Best Emerging Artist' and 'Best Song' from The Global Music Awards for its debut single 'Dark Room' was also nominated as Rock Song of the Year (2015) by IMEA; ‘Whitebone’ was awarded the Silver from the GMA for ‘Best Song’ and ‘Best Video’. The third single ‘The Other Side’, was also nominated by IMEA in 2016. The Majolly Project is, in essence, the fearless ‘Bono of Asia’ Studio Artiste frontswoman / songwriter / arranger Neecia Majolly.

Just when you thought that things made sense, you see your soul dangling from the fence.

Mr. Sandman’s being fired, tell your daddy he retired.

Verse 1:
Limbs laid out, limbs laid out,

With moonlight shining, with moonlight shining,
With moonlight shining in your eyes.
Verse 2:
The desert tells, the desert tells,
The desert tells a thousand tales,
The desert tells, the desert tells,
The desert tells a thousand tales,
Of how your freedom, of how your freedom,
Of how your freedom crept away.
Chorus:
Why does it not rain down with pity? (You didn’t live to see the day)
Why is it no one loves your children? (You couldn’t live to see the day)
Tell me what it’s all about,
In the name of the slain
Break:
Limbs laid out in the desert sun,
With moonlight shining in your eyes,
You didn’t live to see the day,
You couldn’t live to see the day

Verse 3:
Birds fly to, birds fly to,
Birds fly to the desert sun,
Birds fly to, birds fly to,
Birds fly to the desert sun,
To tell her that, to tell her that,
To tell her that the deed is done,
The sun hides, hides herself,
Hides herself in shame,
You couldn’t live to see the day,
You didn’t live to see the day.
For a piece of white bone.

10. Butterfly
Verse 1:
I was walking in the park one fine day,
When a butterfly came up to me and said,
Hey you, you left your sanity behind,
And looking back I saw it signing my name,
It walked away and was never to be seen again.
Verse 2:
Somebody was shouting from across the street,
Screaming at the world with his frenzied eyes,
Marketing his salvation bonds,
Happy over his received confusion,
And so he tried to strangle the butterfly.
Chorus:
Hiding in the faded glass, I see nothing,
Hiding in the faded glass, I see you try,
Hiding in the faded glass, I see nothing,
Hiding in the faded glass, I see you smile.
Verse 3:
Dark clouds brighten up the sky today,
Flashing graffiti as they pass my window,
Demanding that times are changing,
Showing me where my sanity’s gone,
And telling me what forms I must fill to let it repossess me.
Chorus:
Hiding in the faded glass, I see nothing,
Hiding in the faded glass, I see you try,
Hiding in the faded glass, I see nothing,
Hiding in the faded glass, I see you cry.
